Tip #10: You can’t clear all the clutter in a day.
Have you ever tried to organize your entire house in one day? Have you been successful at it?
If you answered yes, sorry to say, but you are lying or you haven’t lived in that home for more than 5 minutes. If you answered no – thanks for being honest! It is not possible to organize an entire home EFFECTIVELY in one day. Sure, you can throw everything away and then you’re done, but you also have nothing left. If that’s your goal – wonderful! If not, as it isn’t for the majority of us, we want to make our space more representative of us. We want to clear away the stuff we don’t need and keep and treasure the things we do. That process takes time. Don’t overwhelm yourself, and don’t be hard on yourself if you can’t clear it all in one day. Take your time. Find a good breaking point for the day, take a break and come back later.
It’s a process. Take your time. Let the space be yours.
